THE WRITER The Writer To the go around of my recollection, this is the maiden poem that I cause read, written by Richard Wilbur. The authors rendering of her typing as, “Like a chain hauled all oer a gunwale”, gives the reviewer the feeling that she is really into her wander and typing with all of her might.
